Rybin Studio of Drama
After over 38 years of guiding Latino youth in the entertainment industry, Rybin Studio of Drama and Talent Management continues to touch the lives of many young talents, whether for their acting careers or personal development, giving the business its positive reputation in many communities in the Tri-State area.
Founded in 1982, it remains the only Spanish-bilingual training unit that offers classes in acting, modeling, auditioning, commercial techniques, and theater. Students are selected through an interview/audition process which helps determine the student’s goals, aspirations, and degree of natural talent. They are also screened for possible future representation by Rybin Talent Management, LLC. Rybin Studio’s mission is to expose the bilingual-Latino community to the dramatic arts. Enrollment is predominantly Latino consisting of students ages 7 to young adults. Rybin Studio and Rybin Talent have received numerous awards, including the “Golden Age Award” for community service from the renowned organization, The Latino Center on Aging, HOLA and ACE Awards, among many others and recognition from Promesa, the Mayor of NYC for Hispanic Heritage Week, NY Housing, and The Arts Council.
“I try to give the kids and teens an incentive to trust themselves and have self-confidence in order to pursue any career, even if it’s not acting”, says Susan Rybin. “There’s a necessity to help minorities, and especially the Latino community because there’s not enough knowledge of show business out there.”
